October to March is the best time to visit Rajasthan. Winters especially are very beautiful with plenty of sunshine. However the weather starts improving and becoming less warm from July onwards.

Anything loose and comfortable. Preferably cotton/linen, slightly conservative clothing would be more appropriate for rural excursions. Regular western wear jeans/trousers/shorts is absolutely fine.

Jodhpur airport 55 kms away that would be a  1 hour 15 mins drive. Taxis are easily available at the airport.

Rajasthan is safe to travel around. People are helpful, welcoming and are accustomed to foreign and domestic tourists.

Having said that please do not hesitate to contact the homestay if you have any questions regarding your travel, stay or need help with directions etc.

We are an experiential getaway, so we encourage you to use your stay to explore the countryside in and around village Dhundhara. We have also designed  various activities to explore.

However since Kot Dunara is just 1 hour 15 mins from Jodhpur city, it can also be used as a base to enjoy all the attractions of Jodhpur, Mehrangarh fort, Umaid Bhavan palace, clock tower etc and be back at the property in the evening to enjoy your dinner in rustic solitude.
