Unwind and escape from the everyday rush, as you get comfortable in our lovingly furnished en suites. Each of the four rooms which are equipped with modern amenities, open up onto a large Indian verandah that overlooks a sprawling garden perfect for afternoon tea.

You’ll never be out of nooks and crannies to drift away into a book or catch a leisurely nap on an Indian Charpoy (traditional daybed) at this heritage property of Rajasthan.

Kot Dunara gives you a holistic experience of Rajasthan. From the food to the finer details like the linen, which are locally sourced, and bath linen being made of pure cotton. Let local delicacies from the Thakur family kitchens put a smile on your face, to complete your Rajasthan experience. You can add these recipes to your repertoire by taking a cooking class with us.

Amenities

The 240 sq.ft en suites are well appointed to make your stay comfortable. Each room is equipped with modern amenities such as, a tea-coffee maker, bathroom toiletries, fresh bath linen (pure cotton) and Wi-Fi.

House keeping is provided everyday. Water conservation is close to our hearts and hence, linen is changed upon request.

Delicacies you should not miss

Regional cuisine from our family kitchens is an integral part of the heritage homestay experience at Kot Dunara. Fresh seasonal ingredients from the land are used, some of which are sourced from our very own garden.

You can savor Rajasthani delicacies like Laal mas, Haldi ki Sabzi (Super food) and Ker Sangri. Pasanda Bhootey kebabs are a local favorite here. You can even take a cooking class with us.

We tailor make food for our guests keeping in mind any allergies, aversions or preferences for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free they may have. Western cuisine can also be provided upon prior request. Please get in touch with us and let a know in advance about your food preferences.

Our Meals

Breakfast and lunches are enjoyed in the outdoors, while dinners are elegantly laid out in our cozy, refurbished barn.

All meals are served on the family long table as the personal guests of the Thakur family. Private meals can also be arranged as per your preference.

You are welcome to bring your favorite beverage. We charge no corkage fee.

“A welcome oasis”

A delightful home stay in a totally unspoilt village off the beaten track offering real Indian hospitality. Comfortable new rooms with great bed and bedding, very clean and stylish bathroom that work, lovely garden and sitting out areas, pool etc. Food is a highlight and the host/owner Ajay is knowledgeable and is good company. Ideal as a break away from the cities of Rajasthan- we visited various craftspeople on a village walk, took a safari into the countryside & relaxed on the terrace. There are other local activities if you want them but we were happy spending time at the property. It is located approx. 1.5 hrs from Jodhpur but very accessible. Staff were helpful and friendly and our driver was well looked after.
